The second oldest settlement in Canada, Trois-Rivières was founded in 1634 by the Chevalier de Laviolette. The city was named Trois-Rivières (Three Rivers) because of the delta created by several small islands, at the junction of the St. Lawrence and St. Maurice rivers, known as the Metaberoutin. Trois-Rivières, a harbour city rich in culture and history, offers visitors many attractions, festivals and tourist sites to discover and rediscover. Characterized by the beauty of its landscapes, Trois-Rivières is known as the Mauricie's regional capital.

To participate, no previous knowledge of the French language is required. For those who have acquired a certain level of knowledge and have not yet had the occasion to verbally express what they have learned in high school, the program’s communicative approach offers this opportunity.
Before grouping students on the first day of the program, an evaluation of both their oral and written French knowledge skills will be performed in order to determine which level students will be.

Upon completing the program, every participant will receive a Training Certificate of French as second language, as well as a detailed description of the program followed in class.
Credits for the program are not granted by our school. Participants will be responsible for obtaining credits via the institution they will be attending in September. The institution will use the aforementioned documents to evaluate each case, and will thereafter grant, or not, the credits.
